Winchester Model 1894 Spruce gun 20" 30 WCF

Winchester Model 1894 20" 30 WCF, nickel steel barrel, marked on top of the receiver U S with flaming bomb proof mark and issued to the U S Signal Corps for protecting the Sitka Spruce trees in the Pacific Northwest, and vital in the military aviation construction industries both here and in England and France during WWI and known as the SPRUCE Model 1894. Traces of blue remain and the wood has old refinish done, proof marks are clear and distinct.
